Notice of Public Hearing

In accordance with the provisions of Title 24, Sections 4442 and 4444, of the Vermont Statutes Annotated, the Select Board for the Town of Weathersfield, Vermont, will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 17, at 7:00P.M., in the Weathersfield Town Office, at 5259 Route 5 in Ascutney, Vermont, to hear public comments on a proposed repeal of a Zoning Bylaw, Section 6.11, Historic Preservation.

Statement of Purpose
The Select Board is proposing to repeal this zoning bylaw, section 6.11, Historic Preservation, in its entirety because it is in conflict with the Weathersfield Town Plan in that it prohibits high density development in Ascutney and Perkinsville, areas that have been identified in the Plan as growth centers.

Geographic Areas Affected
The entire Town of Weathersfield is affected by this amendment.

Sections Headings
Section 6.11, Historic Preservation, would be eliminated from the remaining Zoning Bylaws.

Persons wishing to be heard may do so in person, be represented by an agent, or may file written comments with the Board prior to the hearing.

Dated at Town of Weathersfield, Windsor County, State of Vermont, this 24th day of January, 2011.

Henry C. Cobb, Jr. Clerk
Weathersfield Select Board
