The Commission members present were Ed Williams, Michael Todd, Bruce Cox, Gil Whittemore, and Peter Daniels. Zoning Administrator deForest Bearse was also present.

In the audience was Cheryl Cox.

Bruce Cox called the meeting to order at 6:30.

I. Receive petition for the purpose of repealing the zoning bylaws and subdivision regulations
deForest Bearse stated that the Town Clerk has verified the signatures of the petition. Statute 4441B states that the petition is submitted to the Planning Commission. She will send the Commission members copies of the statute. It met the 5% threshold. The Commission needs to set a date for a public hearing and prepare a report on the proposal. The report is to be a brief explanation, a statement of purpose, and findings. Bruce Cox asked if Gil Whittemore, or Michael Todd signed the petition. They said that they did not sign the petition.

II. Set date for public hearing on the petition
Ed Williams made a motion to set a public hearing on the petition for the purpose of repealing the zoning bylaws and subdivision regulations for December 28, 2009. Gil Whittemore seconded it. All were unanimous for the date of the public hearing. The report will need to be to the Select Board on December 30, 2009.

IV. Adjournment
Gil Whittemore made a motion to adjourn at 6:40. Ed Williams seconded it. All were unanimous to adjourn.
