1. Approve minutes from last meeting: January 25, 2011
Edith Stillson motioned to approve the minutes as presented. Fred Mellish seconded the motion and all were in favor.

2. Roll of Honor - update
Fred brought the notebook containing the roster of all Weathersfield veterans since WWII that the committee has been able to find so far. The book is set up by conflict and era in a spread sheet format. Success has been minimal in gathering names of veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. Follow up on each of the outreach efforts is called for (website, school notices, SAPA TV)

3. Educational Component Planning - update
The Weathersfield students will be interviewing veterans of any conflict (because there are so few WWII veterans left), then creating "story boards" based on their interviews. Ultimately the story boards will form the basis of a mobile display. There is to be a production of some sort on the next Veterans Day.

4. Other Business
The committee is planning to sell popcorn at the town's 250th celebration. There will be a display of the monument and an appeal for veterans names.

There was some discussion regarding placement of the names on the monument. This decision is being put on hold until the committee is more confident of the roster.

The park where the monument is located is now officially owned by the Town. It is known as the Perkinsville Green. Bob Dickinson suggested that there may be state funding available for maintenance of the park since it was laid out as a park for a "soldiers monument". Chip will check it out.

The committee will also set up a table at the annual Town meeting - again to display the monument and appeal for veterans names. Chip will also say a few words about it at the meeting.

6. Adjournment
At 8:47 Bob Dickinson motioned to adjourn the meeting. Fred Mellish seconded the motion and all were in favor.
