Members Present: Lisa and Jeff Slade, Edith Stillson, Chip Cobb, deForest Bearse

1. Approve minutes of the last meeting: August 30, 2011
Jeff Slade motioned to approve the minutes as presented. Edith Stillson seconded the motion, and all were in favor.

2. Chicken Barbeque
All plans have been finalized for the barbeque for October 1st. The weather does not look promising so tables will be set up in the basement of Martin Hall for indoor dining.

3. Baker Family Donation
The Baker Family and Willis & Tina Wood have each donated $100 in Myrtle's memory.

4. Review 2011 Work Plan
Discussion of this item was tabled until the next meeting.

5. Roll of Honor and its presentation
Chip, Jeff and deforest met with Jeremy Osgood yesterday at the Perkinsville Green to finalize the design of the cement pad. A purchase order will be sent to Greenscreen Graphics for production of the display of names. The design of the display was discussed and finalized. Chip and deforest will work on making the roster into a list in alphabetical order. It will be ready to go to Greenscreen by the week of October 10th.

6. Other Business
Veterans Day plans were discussed. A program will be designed that will maximize involvement by the school children and minimize the committee's role. Chip will coordinate with the school principal. A wreath will be placed at the monument again as it was on Memorial Day. The program will be brief.

7. Comments from Citizens

8. The next meeting will be held on October 25th at 6:30 PM at Martin Hall. Topics to be discussed will include the Roll of Honor, results of the barbeque, and Veterans Day plans.
