Good Day,
The Veterans Memorial Committee, with assistance from many residents, the library, school and the Ascutney Union Church, has started an effort to
support troops and children in Afghanistan. Recently we sent over 130 pounds of items to them.

Now we are shifting gears - we are collecting clothing for the Afghan children in the war zone. Did you know because of the harsh conditions these
children do not attend school in the winter. Can't you imagine what it's like?

So, there is a box set out at Martin Memorial Hall to collect new gloves, hats, scarves for children. Please drop by and do what you can to help them!
