ASCUTNEY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 2 ASCUTNEY, VERMONT Warning District Organization Meeting August 17 , 2009th Page 1 of  1 The legal voters of the Ascutney Fire District No. 2, in Ascutney, Vermont, are hereby notified and warned to meet at Martin Memorial Hall, at 5259 Route 5 in Ascutney, in the Town of Weathersfield, Vermont, on the seventeenth day of August, 2009, at 7:30 o’clock, P.M., to act on the following articles: Article 1: To elect a moderator for a term of one (1) year. Article 2: To elect a member of the Prudential Committee for a term of three (3) years. Article 3: To elect a member of the Prudential Committee for a term of two (2) years.    This is the initial term, and thereafter shall be elected for the term of three years. Article 4: To elect a member of the Prudential Committee for a term of one (1) year.  This is the initial term, and thereafter shall be elected for the term of three years. Article 5: To elect a clerk for the district for a term of one (1) year. Article 6: To elect a treasurer for the district for a term of one (1) year. Article 7: Shall the voters of Ascutney Fire District No. 2 direct that the Weathersfield Town Manager collect all taxes due to the District and to perform all the duties now conferred by law upon the collector of taxes, in accordance with the provisions of Title 24, Section 1236 (10) of the Vermont Statutes Annotated? Article 8: To establish the date and time for an annual meeting of the District. Article 9: Shall the voters of the Ascutney Fire District authorize the Prudential Committee to borrow money, if necessary, to pay current expenses in anticipation of fees in accordance with the provisions of Title 24, Section 1786, of the Vermont Statutes Annotated? Article 10: Shall the voters of the Ascutney Fire District authorize the Prudential Committee to expend such grant monies, gifts, or bequests which may be received by the Ascutney Fire District, in accordance with the terms of said grants, gifts, or bequests? Article11: To transact any other business deemed proper when met. Persons residing within the limits of the Ascutney Fire District No. 2 who are voters in the Weathersfield Town Meeting shall be voters in the Fire District No. 2 meeting.
