Weathersfield Historical Society Photograph Contest

Enter your photographs into the Weathersfield Historical Society Contest.

What:  Black and white or Color photos of people, places or things in Weathersfield, Vermont with an historic bent or characteristic

Deadline: September 15, 2009. Bring your photos to the Dan Foster House. Open 2 to 5 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Winner announced: October 17, 2009 at the Weathersfield Historical Society’s Annual Meeting.

Size:  Matted on 8x10 cardboard, ready to be hung for exhibit (photo does not have to be 8x10); include name, address, phone number, and email, and caption or description on the back.

Two categories:  Contemporary and Antique (pre-1950), taken by you or owned by you

Two age groups:  under age 16 and 16 and over

Allowed:  three submissions per person

We will exhibit winning photos at the Ascutney School and again at the Dan Foster House Museum when it opens next year.

Note:  We would be especially interested in photos of the Dan Foster House, with barn, that could be made into notecards or postcards.  We might be interested in any picture as a potential notecard or postcard.
