Thirty-Eight: The Hurricane That Transformed New England
The hurricane of 1938, considered the most damaging and transforming hurricane in New England history, will be the subject of the program at the annual meeting of the Weathersfield Historical Society on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 7:30 pm at the Weathersfield Center Meeting House. Vermonter, woodlot owner, and founder and former editor of Northern Woodlands magazine, Stephen Long, will discuss this hurricane which is the subject of his book by the same name.
The program will be preceded by a potluck supper from 6:00 to 7:00 pm followed by the business meeting from 7:00 to 7:30 pm.
