Incorporated Village Of Perkinsville, VT MINUTES of Annual Meeting July 21, 2009 Meeting called to order at 7 PM by President Robert Terracciano There were 13 people present. Article 1. Voted to accept the reports of the Clerk and Treasurer. Article 2. Voted to authorize the Trustees to borrow money, if necessary, to pay current expenses in anticipation of taxes. Article 3. Voted to authorize the Board of Trustees to expend such grant monies, gifts, or bequests which may be received by the Village. Article 4. Voted to fix the compensation for the Village Clerk at $100.00 for the coming year. Article 5. Voted to fix the compensation for the Village Treasurer at $100.00 for the coming year. Article 6. Voted to amend this article to read: Shall the voters of the Village of Perkinsville approve the expenditure of $3000.00 for the support and operation of the Village’s General Fund, which shall be raised by property taxation allowing the board of Turstees to set the appropriate tax rate. This article was passed as amended. Article 7. Voted to advise the Board of Trustees to appoint three persons to represent the Village’s interests at any meetings regarding the disposition of the former Elementary School buildings and property located within the Village of Perkinsville. Article 8. Elected President for 1 year… Annmarie Christensen Clerk for 1 year… Dorothy Richardson Village Trustee, 1 ( five year term)…Alison Roth Village Auditors 3 (one year term each)… Carol Sylvia Dennis Richardson Tricia Temple Article 9 Transacted other business: 1. Barb Lockwood reported that the Treasurer’s books were audited and approved, from May 2004 through June 2009. 2. Voted to set trustee meetings for Tuesdays and Thursdays. 3. Voted that the current by-laws need to be amended and brought up to date . 4. Voted to have Robert Terracciano write up proposed by-law changes and bring them before the Trustees for discussion and approval to be in accord with State regulations. 5. Voted Barbara Lockwood in as Treasurer for one year. This was not done in article 6 as it was thought that the by laws stated the treasurer was elected for a 3 year term which upon consulting the by-laws proved not to be the case. The Treasurer is elected each year for a one year term. Meeting adjourned at 8:15 PM Dorothy A. Richardson, clerk |
