Tax Collector

The Town of Weathersfield, Vermont runs on a fiscal year from July 1st through June 30th. Property tax bills are payable in four installments.

In 2023-2024 the due dates are as follows: 

1. First Installment: August 17, 2023
2. Second Installment: November 15, 2023
3. Third Installment: February 14, 2024
4. Fourth Installment: May 15, 2024 

Checks should be made payable to the Town of Weathersfield. They may be mailed to Town of Weathersfield, PO Box 550, Ascutney, VT, 05030, paid in person at Martin Memorial Hall, 5259  US Route 5, Ascutney, Vermont 05030, or paid online by visiting this link.

Any installment not paid on or before the close of business at 4:30 PM on the due date will be subject to interest on the unpaid principal at the rate of 1% per month for the first three months and 1.5% thereafter per 32 V.S.A. §4873. An 8% penalty on the unpaid principal will be charged if payment is not received in full on or before the close of business at 4:30 PM on the final installment due date as provided by 32 V.S.A. §5136.
