Town Office Closed from 1:30pm-4:30pm on Monday, April 8, 2024

The Town Office will close at 1:30pm today (Monday, April 8, 2024) and will reopen at 4:30pm, and will be open until 6pm. According to the Southern Vermont Astronomy Group (SoVerA), the moon will obscure the sun at 2:14pm, and will continue to cover more of the sun until 3:28pm, which it will cover 97.9% of the sun. The moon will then pass off of the sun, until at 4:37pm the sun will be completely visible again. The Reading & Weathersfield Public Libraries, in collaboration with SoVerA, are holding an Eclipse Event at Hoisington Field in Perkinsville from 2pm-4:30pm. We have a limited supply of solar glasses, and they will available on a first come first serve basis.
